Scholarship Summaries for Freshmen and Sophomores

Freshmen
(students who have earned less than 30 credits)

Automotive Service Technology - students enrolled as first year students in the Auto Service Technology program at LSC

Broadcasting/Media Studies - new or returning LSC students who intend to earn a diploma in broadcasting who have maintained a 3.0 GPA

Center for Student Development - second semester LSC students who have an unforeseen financial need and are in good academic standing

COACT - low-income Duluth resident students who recently graduated from a Duluth high school

Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) - LSC students enrolled in one of the construction programs

Future Trust - Open to students in all disciplines and degrees - must have an accumulated GPA of 3.0 while in high school or at LSC

Harold P. Erickson Memorial - returning adult LSC students who intend to earn a two-year diploma or degree

Hilltop Lions Club - graduates of Hermantown School District

James A. & Mary L. Knight - LSC students who demonstrate significant involvement with school, community, or church service

Marlis and Don Runnberg - LSC students with physical disabilities - preference given to Lake County residents

Mary B. Koski - for LSC students who intend to earn a two-year degree and transfer to a four-year institution

Ordean Foundation - Duluth residents who qualify, based on program information and instructions found at:  www.lsc.edu/FinancialAid/ordean.cfm

Patricia & Edward Nelson Northern Waters - new or returning students interested in the natural environment and wildlife of northeastern Minnesota

St. Luke's Health Care Career - LSC students enrolled in health care careers

Student Life - students actively involved in leadership roles within LSC student organizations

Student Senate - LSC students with 15 or more accumulated credits and a 2.5 GPA or higher

Tom Hill Memorial - LSC students seeking diplomas or degrees in business programs

Trustee Emeritus Erickson Part-time Student - LSC adult students who are working and attending part-time

Virtual Campus - LSC students with 15 or more accumulated credits who are pursuing a degree online

Sophomores
(students who have earned 30 credits or more)
