Placement Services

Resources

Several media resources are provided to assist those making important career decisions.  These resources include books, magazines, and referrals to appropriate outside sources for job informational interviews.  Also available are job descriptions, incomes, job outlook, educational requirements for careers and where those jobs are located.  Access to Internet job and career resources is also available.

Minnesota Career Information System (MCIS)
The Minnesota Career Information System is available on computers located in the Placement Center.  This excellent resource provides extensive Job and Career search information.  Easy directions are provided to access this information, and help from staff is available if needed.  School, program, occupation, financial aid (including scholarship information), and job seeking are some of the areas covered, and printouts of these materials are available.

Students with Disabilities
Placement Services assists students/graduates with disabilities to plan an effective and active job search.  A coordinated effort is made with outside rehabilitative agencies to provide the best employment services possible.
