Financial Aid
Consortium Agreement - Description and Forms
A consortium agreement is requested when a student is taking courses at two colleges during the same term. One college is considered the "Home" institution while the other serves as the "Host" institution.
NOTE: The completed Financial Aid Consortium Agreement must be returned to the Financial Aid Director prior to the end of the drop-add period for the term. What Happens Next! If the credits for which you are registered at the "Host" institution pertain to your Lake Superior College program, the credits will be added as consortium credits to your registered credits at LSC for the term. Your financial aid at LSC will be based on the combined number of credits for which you are enrolled at both institutions. You must provide LSC with an official grade transcript from the "Host" institution at the end of the term as these courses are considered for satisfactory academic progress.
As long as the Lake Superior College Financial Aid Office has processed your home institution's consortium agreement prior to LSC's "drop for non-payment date", you will not be dropped from your course(s). However, as you will be receiving your financial aid from your "Home" institution, you must pay your charges at Lake Superior College as soon as your financial aid has been received from the "Home" institution. This form is in pdf format. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view them. If you do not have this, you can download it free from www.adobe.com. You must print these forms out to fill them out. You cannot submit them online. Lake Superior College Consortium Agreement
