FAFSA Problems

I know I completed the FAFSA, but there doesn't seem to be any record of it. What now?
When you complete a FAFSA online, you need to be sure you go all the way to submitting it. A confirmation page will be provided at the time of submission. We suggest you do the following to see what happened to your FAFSA: Begin by going to www.fafsa.ed.gov and choose "Check status of a submitted FAFSA." If it says that no file exists, choose "Continue working on saved FAFSA" and see if there is a record there. It may be that you completed filling out the FAFSA but did not actually submit it. If that is the case, you can do so at that site. If there is still no record of your FAFSA, you will have to start over. Sorry.

While I was completing my FAFSA, I discovered that I was missing some information or was kicked out of the application. Will I lose what I've done so far?
At the beginning of the application, you created a password just for this reason. If you continue to save the information as you go through the process, you can leave the application at any time and get back into it where you left off. Just go back to www.fafsa.ed.gov and choose "Continue working on saved FAFSA".

The FAFSA asks if I have a drug conviction. I am not sure how to answer this question.
There is a drug conviction worksheet that will assist you in answering this question. Go to www.fafsa.ed.gov and click on "Before Beginning a FAFSA." Choose and print the "Drug Conviction Worksheet." Fill it out completely. It will then explain exactly how to answer the question.
