What is Liberal Arts & Sciences?

The division of Liberal Arts and Sciences seeks to meet the needs of a diverse population of students by incorporating student-centered teaching methods and new uses of technology.  The division seeks to serve all students. 

In the right pane under 'QuickLinks' you will see a link to our Pre-Majors webpage.  Simply click on the link and select your program of interest.  Currently we offer Biology, International Studies, Pre-Dentistry, Pre-Pharmacy, Pre-Veterinary, Sociology, and Spanish.

Strategic Priorities:

1. Global/International Education
   a. Create opportunities for growth and connections between the LSC campus and our community, region, state, nation, and international environments.
   
   
2. Assessment of Student Learning
   a. To improve student learning through continuous review of student achievement of learning outcomes, student satisfaction, student engagement, and responsive program offerings. 
   
   
3. Workforce and Community Partnership
   a.  Create workforce and community partnerships in order to expand access and opportunities for students, faculty, and community stakeholders.
   
   
4. Civic Engagement
   a. Create opportunities for community service and volunteer-ism.
