What is Teacher Education Preparation? Teacher Education Preparation (TEPrep) guides students to an AA degree by recommending two years of college courses. Students complete the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum and additional elective courses to prepare to transfer directly into Teacher Education Programs of local (and other) four-year institutions. Students seeking an elementary/middle school (K-8) licensure: LSC offers and recommends courses for transfer to the College of St. Scholastica, Bemidji State University, the University of Minnesota Duluth, and the University of Wisconsin-Superior. These specific courses are listed on the planning guide. Students seeking this licensure must choose social studies, science, math, or communication arts and literature as a specialty area or minor. Please contact your advisor and TEPrep coordinator to plan coursework specific to your specialty area (MN) or minor (WI). Students seeking middle/secondary school (5-12) licensure: LSC offers courses for transfer to four-year institutions. Some recommended courses are listed on the planning guide. |
