Meeting Minutes: January 28, 2003

Present: John Arola, Candy Barnack, Barb Cox, Jerry Niebauer, Kristin Rust, Jeri Schwerin

GUEST: Sue Stenerson

The meeting was called to order at 8:00 a.m. by C. Barnack, Vice President of Academic Affairs.

1. Center for Academic Achievement (a.k.a The Learning Center)
   
   The committee had a philosophical discussion about moving the Learning Center from the library area to the Academic Affairs office. The committee agreed. The location is not ideal, but the committee agreed to work on a plan.
2. Institutional Research
   
   The committee talked about the need to define a cohort for their research project. The class identified for fall semester is Writing II. The committee also decided that they needed to brainstorm the data they needed for their project.
3. Next Meeting
   
   The next meeting is scheduled for February 18, 8:00 a.m., Academic Conference Room.
