Financial Aid Disbursements

Financial Aid disbursements ARE MAILED.   Disbursement notifications contain a receipt indicating:

- a credit balance with a check enclosed
OR
- a debit balance showing the amount still due
OR
- a notice to stop by the Student Payment Office

All financial aid checks are mailed beginning the eighth day of the term. You should receive the check by the third week of the term, assuming you are eligible for financial aid.

All financial aid checks are mailed to the student's permanent home address on file in the Records Office.  Please note there is normally a 3-5 day delay before any overage checks would be received at your permanent address.

If you have not received your grant or loan disbursement check within 10 business days of the date that it was disbursed and mailed by LSC, notify the LSC Student Payment Office to initiate the stop-payment procedure, there is a $30 fee for this service.

It is very important that the Records Office has your current address information as checks are mailed to the address on file. Checks returned by the post office are sent to the forwarding address provided on the envelope.
