How many students attend LSC?

Approximately 4,500 students attend LSC. We have many local, national, and international students. With the rate of internet classes on the rise, we have many students who are attending LSC from several countries around the world.

What is the average age of students who attend LSC?
Answer: The average age is 24. Approximately 58% of those students are female and 42% are male.

When does each semester start and end?

The exact date varies from year to year. The Academic Calendar for the current school year is available at the following website: http://www.lsc.edu/Academics/calendar Fall semester starts at the end of August and ends in December. Spring semester starts in January and ends in May. Summer semester starts in June and ends in July or August.

How much will it cost to attend Lake Superior College?

Please see the tuition and fees website http://www.lsc.edu/TuitionFees for more information. Tuition is always posted on the LSC Website. It is subject to change annually. Please note that the cost of books is above and beyond the cost of tuition and fees, and some programs may have increased tuition because of higher program costs.

Does Lake Superior College have an English as a Second Language Program (ESL)?

Lake Superior College offers courses for those students whose native language is not English. ESL courses are available in the areas of reading, writing and oral communications. For more information please contact Damon Kapke, English Instructor at 733-1017.

Does LSC have campus housing?

No. Lake Superior College does not have campus housing. There are several apartment buildings close to the campus. The college does not inspect and certify any of these houses or apartments. Notices of apartment and housing vacancies are posted on bulletin boards throughout the campus. Does the school have child care?

Yes. The Creation Station child care center enrolls children ages 33 months to eight years. If you would like to enroll your child in the Creation Station, call for an application (733-7647). Enrollment is limited. Various types of financial aid may be available for child care expenses. Check with enrollment services for details regarding eligibility. Currently the cost for child care is $2.50 an hour/child.

When do you offer campus tours?

Campus tours are offered most weekdays at either 11:00 a.m. or 2:00 p.m. during the months of September ? May by appointment. During the summer months, campus tours are available most Tuesday and Thursdays at 11:00 a.m. and Monday, Wednesday and Fridays at 2:00 p.m. by appointment.
